NSTC Allocation

【Description】NSTC allocation quota, selected and rewarded by the university.
I、Amount and Duration: -
Each fellowship recipient will be granted a monthly stipend of
NT$40,000 for a period of up to 3 years, starting from the first year of
the Ph.D. program. Stipend for those who graduate less than three
years shall last until the month of graduation.
II、Ineligible Conditions: -
Engaged in full-time paid work at public or private institutions or enrolled as in-service students.
The following individuals are not eligible to receive this fellowship:
a. Those who are engaged in full-time paid employment in public or private sectors or who are part-time students.
b. Students from Hong Kong, Macau, and Mainland China.
c. Those who have applied for leave of absence and retained their admission eligibility or have not completed registration after admission.
d. Those who are concurrently in receipt of scholarship or subsidy offered by the ROC government.
If receiving other unit scholarships, handled according to their regulations.III、Quota:

Determined by NSTC, and according to the university's announcement schedule and the university's implementation guidelines for the "National Science and Technology Council PhD Research Scholarship Pilot Program", applicants submit application materials to their respective colleges for university-level scholarship review and selection.
IV、Review Mechanism: -
After the applications from each college have passed the initial review by the college-level admissions committee or a meeting of the same category, the recommended list will be submitted to the Academic Scholarship and Grant Review Committee for final review in order of priority.
V、Implementation Method: -
Handled according to the university's announcement schedule.
VI、During the scholarship period, recipients are subject to regular evaluation and guidance, and must submit a final report to the Research and Development Office within two months after the reward period ends; within three years after graduation, feedback is collected through graduate tracking surveys to improve the effectiveness of the reward.
VII、Supplementary Mechanism: -
Replacements will be made in order of the shortlist approved by the award committee for the same year.

First-year PhD students registered in February or September,should proactively submit【 the scholarship approval letter copy to the enrolled school at registration】,and the school compiles the reward list according to NSTC requirements, attaches the scholarship approval letter copy and receipt, and sends it to NSTC to claim the scholarship.💡If you have received the NSTC scholarship approval letter, please email the approval letter to theResearch Planning and Coordination Division's official mailbox.
