Division of Research Planning and Coordination

 

 The Division of Research, Planning, and Coordination acts as an administrative and consulting body to generate new and existing programs and projects for use at National Dong Hwa University, supervise the management of university monetary and material resources of NDHU related to research and development, facilitate the disbursement funds intended for academic use, evaluate the quality and effectiveness of academic colleges and departments at NDHU, and publish and disseminate written and multi-media materials related to the Office of Research and Development's mission and goals.

Objectives of the Division of Research Planning and Coordination

Designing and implementing mid-range university development projects funded by the Ministry of Education, National Science Council, Council for Cultural Affairs and other organizations.
Carrying out preliminary research for revising regulations dealing with university organization.
Promoting intercollegiate and interdisciplinary research projects such as collaborative faculty research and the work carried out through the various research institutes, colleges, and departments on campus.
Managing non-academic activities and projects funded by the Ministry of Education and other organizations.
Coordinating the disbursal of university-wide research awards, including the NDHU Research Excellence Award, junior faculty research awards, and various additional grants and prizes.
Supervising the recruitment of distinguished scholars and post-doctoral researchers funded by the National Science Council, Council for Cultural Affairs, and other international endowments and grants.
Conducting statistical evaluations of published theses of NDHU faculty in SCI, SSCI, TSSCI, A&HCI, and other databases.
Assisting in the internal evaluations of academic departments and colleges at NDHU.
Publishing and disseminating electronic and print materials related to the Office of Research and Development, such as “NDHU Academic Records”.
